A friendly reminder to practice s-l-o-w-l-y

This is just a friendly reminder to practice slowly. V-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y.

Play your scales slowly enough that you can clearly hear each note. Practice chord voicings slowly enough that your hands remember them when you play at faster tempos. And perhaps most importantly of all, slow the tempo way down to become comfortable improvising on a challenging chord progression.

Chick Corea once said that the way to play fast is to play slowly, a lot. Do yourself a favor and take his advice. Whatever you’re working on, practice it slowly.
