Fun & Inspiring Jazz Piano Lessons!
Enjoy the journey and “let the music flow!”
If you love music and would like to play jazz piano with more joy and less stress, the key is to aim for “flow” first and gradually add complexity as you become more confident.
Hi! I’m Ron Drotos, and I’ll get you playing jazz piano effortlessly and with more confidence than ever before. My piano teacher, Billy Taylor, showed me how we learn jazz like we learn a language, and I’ve gradually developed my whole Flowing Water approach to help you play jazz piano fluently, so it’s not a struggle anymore. You’ll have more fun, sound more accomplished, and generally feel better about your own piano playing. Along the way, you’ll learn the musical concepts and techniques that I’ve used at Carnegie Hall, on Broadway, and NYC’s Blue Note jazz club.
As you begin to enjoy the process more, you’ll become able to sit down at your piano and play jazz tunes with a new sense of joy and confidence.
“Ron, I’m now at the point where I can sit down and easily play Real Book tunes, which I never thought I’d be able to do. Sincere thanks from this formerly-beginning and now intermediate jazz pianist!”

I’m so happy I found Ron’s lessons online. His demeanor, impressive background, and ability to convey the material in such an easy to assimilate manner is exactly what I was hoping to find in an instructor. My playing is improving by leaps and bounds!” Lisa Irion
“Hi Ron, I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying your lessons. I am learning quickly – leaps and bounds. You are better than any piano instructor I’ve ever met, and that’s saying something since I went to a world-renown music school for college. Your lessons and teaching style are, in a word, fabulous!” Daniel K.
I’ve learned more from Ron in one month than from all my other piano teachers combined. Highly recommended!” Amy B.
