Great version, Mike! But this type of uptempo is organic and actually doesn’t change the vibe (pun!) at all. It just gives a little movement to what she’s already established. The automatic double time is what drives me crazy when it happens all the time!

Boz is about as good as it gets. His Boz 2004 concert on you tube is a must watch with a fine bottle of wine.

Hi everyone. I’ve been working on Jazz Ballads lesson 4 and applying the LH technique to contemporary songs like Moon River, Yesterday Once More and a couple of others. It’s interesting to hear the clear change in genre….from pop to jazz. I learned so much from just using that LH pattern and to be able to use this to make ANY piece of music into a jazz piece is like discovering a new world.

Hi , I’ve started playing Jazz ballads off a lead sheet.

Ron asked me to play this Irvin Berlin’s hit adding an intro, and ending and a bit of improv in the middle and here is the result.

You play beautifully Nico. I especially like the melancholy flavor of the piece. You have a delicate touch. I enjoyed both versions.

Hi Tim, thanks for listening !

Delicate touch ? I guess you haven’t heard all the other failed attempts at recording I had … 🙂
