#3539 |Great version, Mike! But this type of uptempo is organic and actually doesn’t change the vibe (pun!) at all. It just gives a little movement to what she’s already established. The automatic double time is what drives me crazy when it happens all the time!

I’ve been working on Jazz Ballads lesson 4 and applying the LH technique to contemporary songs like Moon River, Yesterday Once More and a couple of others. It’s interesting to hear the clear change in genre….from pop to jazz. I learned so much from just using that LH pattern and to be able to use this to make ANY piece of music into a jazz piece is like discovering a new world.

Ron asked me to play this Irvin Berlin’s hit adding an intro, and ending and a bit of improv in the middle and here is the result.
